1. What time should you arrive for the Examination
  1. Candidates should arrive at the Examination Hall fifteen (15) minutes before the Examination starts. They should check their Index Number before they are seated. If a candidate is found to be on the wrong seat, the candidate will be expelled from the Examination.

  2. Candidates who arrive late will not be admitted to the Examination Hall once the Examination has begun.

  3. Candidates who turn up at the wrong Examination Centre will not be admitted into that Examination Hall.
2. What can you bring into the Examination Hall
  1. You must bring along your NRIC or Passport. Without this photo identification, you will not be admitted into the Examination Hall. A Driver's licence is not an acceptable form of identification;

  2. You must also bring the following items into the Examination Hall:
    1. Pocket size, battery-operated, noiseless, non-programmable calculator; and

    2. Writing materials (excluding writing papers) e.g. pen, pencil, ruler, sharpener, correction fluid.

  3. You are not allowed to bring the following items into the Examination Hall:
    1. The Notification Letter, copy of these General Instructions, briefcases and other bags. These must be left in the areas designated by the Invigilators. The Examination organisers hold no responsibility for any property that is lost or misplaced.

  4. Handphone and Pager are STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED.

3. What to note about the Question Papers
  1. You should not turn over your question paper until the Invigilator says to do so;


  2. You must check that you have received the correct Paper for the session (i.e. Paper 1- Law of Real Property; Paper 2 - Real Estate Marketing or Paper 3 - Professional Practice and Management) and all the questions;.

  3. You must read the instructions carefully before you begin answering the questions;

  4. There are 6 essay questions and 2 multiple choice questions. You are required to answer five (5) out of eight (8) questions
4. What you should include in your Answer Scripts
  1. You must state clearly on each answer script:
    1. Index Number;
    2. Name of Examination Centre and
    3. Section and Question Numbers answered.

  2. You must also complete the Front Cover Sheet of the Examination Paper and attach it to your answer scripts. You must answer each question on a separate sheet of paper;

  3. YOU MUST NOT WRITE YOUR NAME ON THE ANSWER SCRIPTS

5. When can you leave the Examination Hall
  1. You will not be allowed to leave the Examination Hall during the first thirty (30) minutes of the Examination;

  2. After this time and only with permission from the Invigilator, will you be allowed to leave the Examination Hall either permanently or for a short supervised period;

  3. You are not allowed to take any question papers and any other examination stationery out of the Examination Hall. All scripts must be returned to the Invigilator;

  4. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE HALL DURING THE LAST FIFTEEN (15) MINUTES OF THE EXAMINATION.
6. What you need to observe during the Examination
  1. You must not have any books, notes or other materials except those that are allowed;

  2. You must not help or try to help another candidate;

  3. You must not get help or try to get help from another candidate or other source;

  4. You are to follow instructions given by the Invigilator;

  5. You must not give false or misleading information to the Invigilator. The Chief Invigilator may expel any candidate suspected of misconduct from the Examination hall;

  6. You must not copy the examination questions or remove them from the Examination Hall;

  7. Smoking is strictly prohibited.

7. What to do at the end of the Examination
  1. You must stop writing immediately when the end of the Examination is announced;

  2. You are to remain seated until all Examination question papers and answer scripts have been collected;

  3. You must submit your Examination question paper and answer script before leaving the Examination Hall;

  4. You must indicate clearly on the cover of the script if you do not wish to have the answer script marked and notify the Invigilator;

  5. The Invigilator will announce when you may leave the Examination Hall
8. What is the CEHA policy on refund if you are absent from an Examination

  1. If you are absent from an Examination for whatever reason, there will be no refund of examination fees or transfer to another Examination;

  2. If you are absent from an Examination, it is deemed that you have failed the Examination that you have registered

9. When can you expect to receive your Examination Results
  1. We will mail your results to you at the earliest possible date. This will usually be about eight (8) weeks after Paper 3 of the Examination. You should not call us during this period;

  2. Results are not graded. You will be informed whether you have passed or failed each of the papers. We do not return answer scripts under any circumstances;

  3. ALL RESULTS ARE FINAL AND NO APPEALS WILL BE ENTERTAINED;

  4. If you are unsuccessful in all three (3) Papers, you may retake the entire Examination again if you meet the stipulated entry requirements at the time of registration.

10. Who can sit for the Re-Examination
  1. You need to have a pass in at least one (1) paper to be able to retake the failed paper(s) in your next Examination attempt;

  2. ** You are given a two (2) years period from the date of the examination to retake your failed paper(s);

  3. ** Choices of Examination dates will be offered to you. You must register for the Re-Examination within the registration period given on the results notification letter. You must also register for both papers if you have failed two (2) papers from your first attempt of the three (3) papers examination;

  4. Choose your Re-Examination dates carefully, as you will not be allowed to change the dates subsequently;

    ** CANDIDATES WHO DO NOT APPLY TO RETAKE THE UNSUCCESSFUL PAPER(S) WITHIN THE CHOICE OF DATES PROVIDED OR WHO ARE UNSUCCESSFUL WITHIN THE TWO (2) YEARS PERIOD STATED WILL BE DEEMED TO HAVE FAILED THE EXAMINATION.

  5. You may register for another Examination as a new candidate before your results from a previous Examination are released. However, if you choose to re-take one (1) or two (2) papers after the released of results, you must submit the Re-Examination Application Form even if you have already signed up as a new candidate for a subsequent Examination;

    Please note that the fee paid for the subsequent Examination (as a new candidate) will not be refunded.

    ANY APPLICATION AS A NEW CANDIDATE (TO TAKE THE THREE-PAPER EXAMINATION) IS INDEPENDENT OF AN APPLICATION AS A RE-EXAMINATION CANDIDATE TO TAKE ONLY THE UNSUCCESSFUL PAPER(S).

  6. A COMBINATION OF RESULTS FROM SEPARATE EXAMINATIONS FROM DIFFERENT INDEX NUMBER (i.e 01/2006/xxx and 04/2006/xxx) DO NOT QUALIFY AS A PASS IN CEHA.
