The Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers started its Accreditation Scheme of Degree Courses for membership admission since 1994.
Its members comprise land surveyors, quantity surveyors and valuation and general practice surveyors
Applicants for membership must possess a minimum of a relevant Bachelor degree that is accredited by SISV and/or equivalent professional qualification. Otherwise, the applicant must sit for an entry examination subject to acceptance of their course syllabus. However, applicants who graduated before 1994 with relevant basic degrees would be accepted as Probationer members on a case-by-case basis. .
Graduates of SISV accredited degree courses must undertake the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC). The APC comprises a 24-month logging of local professional work experience and an interview. This is specific to the area of the discipline in which they wish to qualify and gain full Member status.
