| ENGINEERING SURVEYING
COURSE (ESC)
SISV has appointed a training co-ordinator, GPS Lands Pte Ltd to conduct the abovementioned course. The course enables participants to acquire knowledge in setting out data for road constructions, determining earthwork quantities and measurements of precise vertical heights. Participants also learn the different methods of topographic mapping and techniques for transferring azimuth and height datum I underground surveying. The course comprises 11 lectures and 6 practical sessions. There is an examination at the end of the course. Successful candidates will be awarded a "Certificate of Successful Completion" at the end of the whole course. A new class is scheduled to commence on Wednesday, 18 July 2007 and we would like to invite you/your staff to enroll with us. A copy of the course prospectus and application form in attached for your information. We look forward to receiving your completed application form. Thanks and regards Visit us at : http:www.sisv.org.sg INTRODUCTION Participants will also learn the different methods for topographic mapping and techniques for transferring azimuth and height datum in underground surveying. NOTE: THE ENGINEERING SURVEYING COURSE IS ONE OF THE PRE-REQUISITES FOR ENTRY TO THE SISV CADASTRAL SURVEYING COURSE.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
The lecture Topics include:
The Practical Topics include:
Participants undertaking the mini-project do a topographic map over an area, and then calculate and peg a circular road curve & vertical curve, and draw the relevant longitudinal and cross sections and learn about earthwork quantities. A precise levelling run is also done to give the participants an understanding of the accuracies achievable in establishing vertical heights. The syllabus and structure are subject to revision without prior notice to reflect current changes in technique or technology. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
